Happy Clean Out Your Closet Week! Although the week is half-way thru, it's never too late to start cleaning things out. Whether you want to do a whole-closet makeover or just need to get a few things under control, it's always a good idea to start by considering what you need compared to what you have.
Whether you work from home or just need a place to pay bills and file paperwork, the home office is one of the most important rooms to keep organized. After all, this is a place where productivity is king, and to stay on top of the work in this room, it is essential that you have just what you need, right where you need it, exactly when you need it.
If you're fortunate enough to have a dedicated guest bathroom - one that doesn't have to serve for every day use as well - woohoo! For the rest of us, though, typically the bathroom available to our guests also has to be used for someone who lives in the house every day. This double-duty guest bathroom presents its own set of challenges for preparing for friends or family to come over. If they are just coming for a short visit that doesn't involve an overnight stay, you mostly want to be able to pick up quickly so they don't see your stuff.
Christmas has come and gone, and we've reached my least favorite part of the season: the post-Christmas pick-up.
You know the feeling. Decorating was fun because it made the house so festive and cozy. The tree looked so good with all of those lovely packages beneath them. There was an air of anticipation and excitement.
That's all over now. It's time to clean up and figure out where stuff goes.
